The goal was to rapidly identify an unmet market need and develop a compelling, fundable product concept within a highly competitive two-week sprint. The challenge was proving the customer value proposition, technical feasibility, and market size to executive leadership in a high-stakes, internal pitching environment.
Divergence
Isolating a real market pain
Working with a Lead Venture Architect and a Data Scientist, we quickly defined a specific market pain point to target. I helped the team define the core customer value proposition and assisted with market sizing and revenue data to ensure the concept was strategically viable.
Ideation
Designing and building at speed
The process was highly accelerated. I designed all necessary screens in just four hours using Sketch. I then collaborated with the engineer to integrate the design into a functioning app prototype within two days, allowing the team to quickly test the user experience before the final pitch presentation.

Working prototype as proof point
The outcome of the two-day build was a functioning app prototype that vividly demonstrated the product concept and core user flow. This working application served as the ultimate proof point for the Pedl audience, validating the idea's potential and technical feasibility.

The final solution was a fully defined product concept (including value prop, market data, and functional prototype) ready for funding. The design work focused on clarity and impact to sell the vision during the executive presentation.

Executive pitch and personal breakthrough
The project was a high-profile success, culminating in a presentation to the BCGDV CEO and the entire global organization. The experience directly resulted in me conquering my fear of public speaking by successfully pitching and defending the product to the executive leadership.
The primary lesson learned was the power of rapid, constraint-driven execution. This project proved that a designer can produce production-ready screens in hours and collaborate to build a functional prototype in days when the team is highly focused and multi-disciplinary.
